The Network
OIN is a values-driven collective transforming sport across the Pacific into a force for inclusion, safety, and unity. Our work is anchored in our regional identity and guided by core principles. Through this collective, we are working towards an inclusive and safe sport 'ecosystem' that contributes to a Pacific region free from violence and discrimination. OIN’s Theory of Change assumes progress happens through aligned, reinforcing action across these system levels over time.

How OIN works in practice
The OIN operates as an impact network, not a standalone Organisation. Partners retain their own mandates, governance and funding arrangements while working together toward shared outcomes.Work is organised through six interconnected workstreams, each led and supported by partners with relevant expertise. Activities build on existing programs, avoid duplication and enable scale.Resourcing flows through co investment, parallel financing, and in-kind contributions; and external party funding. A dedicated backbone coordination role (full-time, based in Fiji) supports alignment, learning, safeguarding integrity and accountability.

The Oceania impact Network is Founded by five organisations that have shared values and intersecting interests to a commitment to equality and inclusion, in and through sport. The OIN Founding partners are ONOC through its Equity Commission (ECO), the UN Women-(Fiji) Multi-County Office, Australian Government’s sport for development programme Team Up and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) through Olympic solidarity and Olympism 365

OIN’s Theory of Change assumes progress happens through aligned, reinforcing action across these system levels over time.Our work is grounded in the Blue Pacific vision of a resilient, peaceful, and prosperous region, guided by Pacific frameworks, ways of working, and culture, with Pacific people leading change. Anchored in the shared values of trust, equity, accountability, and mutual benefit, our collaboration is respectful, sustainable, and centred on Pacific voices, and is strategically aligned with key regional and global commitments including the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent, Pacific gender equality frameworks, the ONOC Road Map to 2032, Australia’s Sport Diplomacy Strategy, UN Women and international women-in-sport declarations, and the Olympic Agenda 2020+5.
